BACK TO SCHOOL FOR 2025-2026
 

STUDENT DEVICES AND TECHNOLOGY
-Returning 10th-12th grade students should bring their NCS device (fully charged), charging cord, and case to school every day in preparation for learning experiences.
-NCS devices will be distributed to new and 9th grade students during the first week of school. Students must complete a NCS Student Technology Agreement to receive a device.
-A fully charged laptop device, charging cord, and case will be required for every students every day.
-Computer charging cords can be purchased at GoFan.co to be picked up at the EHS School Store during lunch.

STUDENT SCHEDULES
-Student schedules are available for viewing in the PARENT/STUDENT CAMPUS PORTAL .
-IMPORTANT…For your convenience, take a screenshot of your schedule prior to arriving
-Students will be informed of their scheduled LUNCH time Monday 8/4/2025 during the first day of school.

PARENT/GUARDIAN TOOLS FOR INFORMATION

BELL SCHEDULE 2025-2026
-Students may begin entering the building at 7:45 AM each school day.
-School begins at 8:15 AM. Students arriving after the 8:15 AM bell must check in at the front office for a tardy pass. Excessive tardiness will result in consequences as outlined in the  2025-2026 NCS Parent Information Guide and Student Code of Conduct

-NCCA students will depart from EHS after 1st period by exiting out of the front of the school to ride a bus or the courtyard to the student parking lot.

TARDINESS TO SCHOOL/CLASS
-An accumulation of 5 or more TARDIES during a semester will result in consequences outlined in the 2025-2026 NCS Parent Information Guide and Student Code of Conduct .

EXPECTATIONS FOR BEHAVIOR
-Students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately and in accordance with the 2025-2026 NCS Parent Information Guide and Student Code of Conduct at school and all school functions.
-SCHOOL SAFETY NOTICE 
Weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and vaping devices are not permitted on campus at any time.
-EHS Cell Phone & Headphone Protocol 2025-2026
-
NO CELL PHONES IN CLASSROOMS Students are not permitted to use cell phones in classroom settings.  Students may appropriately use cell phones before school, after school, during class transitions, and during lunch.  
-HATS, HOODS, & HEADPHONES NOT PERMITTED 


CLINIC INFORMATION
-During  the first day of school, students will receive a PINK NCS Clinic Card to be completed and returned to the first period teacher.

11TH GRADE IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
-All students enrolled or entering Newton County schools must be up to date on all mandatory vaccines to attend classes. Please be advised of the Georgia Department of Public Health requirements below for students entering the 11th grade.
-Effective as of July 1, 2021, children 16 years of age and older, including those who are new entrants or transfers into a Georgia school in the eleventh grade, will be required to show proof of a booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine, unless their first dose was received on or after their sixteenth birthday.
-NCS students are invited to an immunization clinic hosted by the Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale (GNR) Public Health MONDAY,  August 4th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. at Porter Performing Arts Center. This clinic will offer the Tdap vaccine required for 7th grade students and the Meningitis vaccine required for 11th grade students.

lease bring an ID and insurance card if you have them available.  GNR does not accept the following insurances:  Bright Health, Friday, Cigna Oscar, Oscar, Ambetter Select, Kaiser, Out of State Medicaid -A parent/guardian must accompany students under the age of 18. 

NUTRITION
-Newton County Schools will continue participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2025-2026 school year.  CEP allows all enrolled students to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and lunch daily at no charge.  No application is required.  
-Check the NCS Nutrition Department for breakfast and lunch information.

STUDENT PARKING PASSES FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR
-The process, information, and links to obtain a student parking pass can be found at Student Parking Pass Information
-Students must fully complete the application and payment processes in order to receive a parking pass hang tag.
-Parking passes will be distributed to Seniors 9AM-12PM Tuesday, July 29th and everyone else 9AM-12PM Thursday, July 31st.

SCHOOL STORE
-The EHS School Store is located at the school entrance beside the Guidance Department and will be OPEN for students, parents, and visitors during OPEN HOUSE.

CEREMONY FOR ACADEMIC LETTERMEN
-EHS students who earned a final course grade of 90 or higher for all 2024-2025 courses will receive an Academic Letter or Celebration Bar.
-The Academic Letter Award Ceremony will be held Monday, August 11th in the EHS Auditorium. (5:00 Sophomore CLASS OF 2028, 6:00 Junior CLASS OF 2027, & 7:00 Senior CLASS OF 2026)

CEREMONY FOR A/B HONOR ROLL
-EHS students who earned a final course grade of 80 or higher for all 2024-2025 courses will receive an A/B Honor Roll Certificate for recognition.
-The A/B Honor Roll Ceremony will be held Monday, August 18th in the EHS Auditorium. (5:00 Sophomore CLASS OF 2028, 6:00 Junior CLASS OF 2027, & 7:00 Senior CLASS OF 2026)
